Minecraft building on Outer Wilds planets
OWCraft puts Minecraft movement, blocks, inventory and creatures on Outer Wilds planets. Both games run together. Outer Wilds draws the blocks with its own lighting. The author’s 0.1.1 release, published October 2, 2026, adds third-person view, smoother flight and building on Giant’s Deep islands. Buildings are saved in Minecraft across time loops and restarts.
What you need
Windows, your own Steam Outer Wilds and Minecraft Java Edition, plus Outer Wilds Mod Manager. The Minecraft side requires version 26.3, Fabric Loader 0.19.5 or newer and Fabric API for 26.3. Download both the OWCraft host ZIP and the matching Minecraft JAR.
How to get started
- Install Outer Wilds Mod Manager and launch Outer Wilds through it once.
- Open the 0.1.1 release. Extract Yaekai.OWCraft-0.1.1.zip into the Mod Manager’s OWML/Mods folder.
- Put skycraft-0.1.2+owcraft.5.jar and matching Fabric API in your Minecraft mods folder. Start its Fabric profile.
- Start Outer Wilds through Mod Manager, land and press F6 to enter Minecraft mode. Press F6 again to leave.
