My Summer Car vehicles and survival needs inside Skyrim
PerkeleRim runs My Summer Car and Skyrim together. Skyrim supplies the world, characters, quests and rendering. My Summer Car runs hidden and supplies Kumpo, vehicle physics, driving, drinking, smoking, survival needs and other controls. Stable release 0.1.1 adds tested Skyrim Special Edition 1.5.97 support alongside Anniversary Edition. The creator published it on October 22, 2026. This older release was added to the catalog on October 30. A separate October 29 development build is explicitly untested and is not treated as the stable release.
What you need
Windows 10 or 11 and enough resources to run both games at once; an owned Steam copy of My Summer Car with MSCLoader; and a Steam copy of Skyrim Special Edition or Anniversary Edition. Skyrim must be the latest Steam version or Special Edition 1.5.97, with matching SKSE64 and Address Library. Version 1.5.97 needs the Special Edition Address Library file. Newer Skyrim versions need the All in one Anniversary Edition file.
How to get started
- Read the creator README and stable v0.1.1 release notes. Back up both games and their saves before changing the setup.
- Download PerkeleRim-0.1.1.zip from the stable author release. Extract it to a writable folder outside both game folders.
- Run Start PerkeleRim.bat. Its setup finds both Steam games and checks MSCLoader, SKSE and Address Library.
- Load the Anniversary Edition starter save or a compatible save of your own. Press F10 to hand control to My Summer Car. Keep My Summer Car running while minimized and play through Skyrim.
