Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate monsters inside MHGU

MH4U Port adds Gogmazios, Dalamadur, Shah Dalamadur, Tigerstripe Zamtrios and Stygian Zinogre to Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate 1.4. It also ports their arenas, music, quests, armor, weapons and skills without replacing existing monsters. Version 1.7.2 was published on October 31, 2026 UTC. It updates every ported quest to the MHGU 1.4 quest format and removes inherited Kushala Daora behavior from Gogmazios where MH4U has no equivalent setting.

What you need

Your own Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate version 1.4 setup on a mod-capable Nintendo Switch or compatible emulator. The author documents Ryujinx, yuzu and Eden mod folders. The downloadable release contains separate core and monster ZIP files. Building from source additionally needs your own European Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate v1.1 dump and Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate 1.4 dump.

How to get started

  1. Read the creator README and v1.7.2 release notes. Back up the MHGU save and existing mod folder.
  2. Download core-1.7.2.zip and only the monster ZIP files you want from the same v1.7.2 release. Do not mix ZIP files from different releases.
  3. Open the MHGU mod folder. Extract core first, then extract each selected monster ZIP. The files merge into one MH4U Port folder.
  4. Before removing a monster, unequip its armor and weapons. For online play, every participant needs the same release and selected monsters.
We reviewed the repository and v1.7.2 release metadata but did not download, install or play the ZIP files. The project currently ports five monsters, not the full MH4U roster. It needs MHGU 1.4. Online players must match the release and monster selection. The creator plans to merge this work into a larger project later, but gives no date.
