Kingdom Hearts combat inside Borderlands
Sora in Borderlands runs Kingdom Hearts Final Mix beside Borderlands GOTY Enhanced. Kingdom Hearts supplies Sora’s combat, animation, effects, sound, menus, magic and summons. Borderlands supplies Pandora, enemies, vehicles and progression. Version 1.0.5 fixes combat targets, spell recasts, renderer crashes and resolution changes. The author published it on October 19, 2026. This older release was added to the catalog on October 25.
What you need
Windows 10 or 11; Steam copies of Borderlands Game of the Year Enhanced and KINGDOM HEARTS HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX; a Kingdom Hearts Final Mix save after Donald and Goofy join; about 25 GB of temporary free space on the drive containing Kingdom Hearts; and internet during installation. The Epic Games Store Kingdom Hearts release is unsupported.
How to get started
- Read the creator README and HOW TO INSTALL.txt. Back up the affected Borderlands and Kingdom Hearts saves.
- Download SoraInBorderlands.zip from the author’s v1.0.5 release. Extract it to a normal folder with both games closed.
- Run INSTALL.bat and follow its checks. The author says the first installation takes about 15–30 minutes and downloads the Borderlands mod loader and build tools.
- Start Kingdom Hearts Final Mix through Steam, load the required save and stand in the field. Then start Borderlands GOTY Enhanced and load a character. Keep Kingdom Hearts open behind Borderlands without minimizing it.
